Overview:

Gout is painful condition, in wich the high levels of uric acid is found in the blood and causes deposition of crystals in small joints leading to inflamation. Initially the small joints of the body are involved, such as those of toes and small fingers. In Ayurveda science, gout is known as Vatrakta, as the main dosha involved is vata & it affects Rakta Dhatu. What Causes Gout?

Exessive intake of uric acid containing food

  • Burning sensation & itching
  • Fatigue
  • Pain ususally starts in night, and the patient is unable to sleep.
  • Change in the colour of skin.
